Denver Housing Statistics ~ April 2011!!

      The National Association of Realtors (NAR), has posted the current statistics for April 2011.  The national home sales and the median sales price has stayed fairly stable since the end of last year, dipping just slightly.  Here in Denver, our housing market is holding strong.  We stayed fairly stable as well.  The actual numbers for active listings, home sales, average home price, and days on market all fell just slightly.  Unemployment rates here in Colorado are hovering close to 9%.  It is still a fairly good buyers market and economists are confident about the rest of the year outlook.  The average price of a home is at $273,877, which is much more affordable than many of Colorado’s neighboring states.  Colorado is a great place to live!
